Meet Your 2020 Chairman: Mike Ettleson
|
|
| |
 Mike Ettleson, President of Ettleson Cadillac Buick GMC, Inc., in Hodgkins, Illinois was elected the 2020 Chairman of the Board of the Illinois Automobile Dealers Association during its annual meeting for the election of officers held in Chicago this past November. Previously, Ettleson served as IADA Vice Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary. Ettleson is also the owner of Ettleson Hyundai and Genesis of Countryside.
In addition to serving on the IADA Board for several years, Ettleson has been an active member with the Chicago Auto Trade Association, serving on their Board for nine years, as President in 2012 and as Auto Show Chairman in 2013. He has been very active with other automotive groups as well including: Board Member of the GM Dealer Fixed Operations Advisory Board, President of the Chicago & Northwest Indiana Cadillac Dealers Ad Association, Treasurer of the Chicagoland Buick GMC Dealers Association and Board Member of the Chicago Hyundai Dealers Ad Association. In the community, Mike has served as a Board Member of Helping Hands in Countryside.
Mike is a graduate of the University of Illinois, in Champaign, IL. He and his wife, Jeri, reside in Lincolnshire. He has four children: Matthew, Daniel, Elizabeth and Jacob.

Minimum Wage Tax Credit For Small Employers

The legislation to increase Illinois' minimum wage includes a Withholding Income Tax credit for certain employers with fewer than 50 employees. Generally speaking, an employer with fewer than 50 employees may claim a credit for employees whose average wages during the previous 4 reporting periods were less than or equal to the current minimum wage.
