Today, House Bill 3940 passed out of the Senate by a vote of 58-0.  Next, the legislation will be sent to the Governor's desk for Governor Pritzker's action. This legislation was supported by IADA and CATA. 

HB 3940 amends the Illinois Motor Vehicle Franchise Act to require vehicle manufacturers to compensate franchised dealers fairly and adequately for warranty work on vehicles. HB 3940 adjusts manufacturer calculations for time allowances, labor rates, and parts prices for warranty work.

Later this summer, when HB 3940 gets sent to the Governor, IADA will be asking you to contact the Governor and urge him to sign HB3940 into law.  We also encourage you to pass this along to your service technicians and suggest they contact the Governor as well.
