Support the Educational Choice for Children Act
The most significant enactment of a school choice bill in our nation’s history is in the final stages of negotiations in Washington DC and we need your help.

The Educational Choice for Children’s Act, or ECCA has passed the House and is waiting consideration before the full Senate.  Because the Senate changed what the House passed the bill will go to a Conference Committee before final passage in early July so we have one final chance to advocate for improvements to the bill.

Please tell our elected representatives to support the passage of ECCA and send the following message.
• Retain the provision that makes ECCA permanent.
• Increase the existing $4 billion to $5 billion to fund additional scholarships.
• Change the effective date of the program from calendar year 2027 to calendar year 2026.
• Allow for corporate donors to participate.

A federal scholarship tax credit with a dollar-for-dollar credit can fund a significant number of scholarships, even more than were funded under Illinois’ Invest in Kids Act (IKK). In addition, a key difference with the ECCA is that Catholic schools will have access to their own scholarship granting organization (SGO) and not have to use an outside entity. Details are still being worked out, but once the final bill passes you will be receiving more information about to participate in the most significant school choice program in our history.
