S. 52 creates smarter and stronger penalties to reflect the seriousness of DUI and reduce repeat offenses. The measure requires the ignition interlocks for DUI offenders who refuse a test and increases penalities for those who causes crashes. S. 52 increases protections for victims of DUI crashes and gives law enforcement and prosecutors the tools necessary to hold impaired drivers accountable.
