Virginia: Oppose SB 764 to weaken the impaired driving law
MADD needs your help to urge Governor Spanberger to Veto Senate Bill 764 by Senator Stanley to weaken Virginia’s impaired driving law.

How SB 764 weakens the DUI law?
• Does not allow Commonwealth Attorneys the ability to stop a DUI offender from entering into a diversion or deferral agreement.
• Allows for deferrals (reduced sentences) in injury related cases.
• Allows for DUI offenders to receive a deferral on a first or repeat offense.

SB 764 reduces how serious the Commonwealth of Virginia handles impaired driving.
