The history of hunger in the U.S. shows the vital role of social safety net programs like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Our elected officials must meet their responsibilities to care for the most vulnerable among us. They must understand how difficult it is to make a meal on a SNAP budget, let alone to feed a family. Please ask your elected officials to visit The Hunger Museum’s SNAP Cafe to understand the reality facing millions of food insecure Americans — and urge them to become part of the solution.
