Tell Congress: The Administration’s executive orders and actions are impacting my community

From rescinding executive orders that lower prescription drug costs, to canceling $1.5 billion from food aid and school lunch programs, to laying off thousands of federal workers across the country, President Trump’s executive orders and actions are hurting everyday Americans and tearing at the fabric of our communities.  We’re asking you to bear witness and keep watch. Pay attention to how these harmful decisions are showing up in your schools, neighborhoods, and daily life—and then share what you see. Your stories have the power to touch hearts and change minds by connecting an often-incomprehensible figure to a lived human experience that moves us to care—and act.

No one knows how the Administration’s harmful executive orders and actions affect the people you know and care about better than you do! Congress has the power to curb or stop executive orders--by rejecting agency cuts, demanding accountability, and halting harmful implementation. Will you share your story with your Members of Congress to influence them to do their job? You may want to write about:

  • Jobs slashed by Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)
  • Clean air and water environmental regulations that have been abandoned
  • Neighbors detained and deported
  • Your fear that Medicaid, nutrition, and other life-sustaining benefits will be drastically reduced in the budget

Please make sure that your story is succinct and, if appropriate, clearly tied to one of the executive orders or actions in this chart. Then share  what you've seen in a letter to your Senators and Representative. Be sure to call on them to take action!

Together, we can shine a light, hold leaders accountable, and protect our communities.

Please note: The letters you share through our platform may be excerpted, or used in whole, by NETWORK in the course of our work for social justice (websites, social media platforms, press conferences, etc.). If you have questions or concerns about NETWORK's potential use of your story, please feel free to contact info@networklobby.org.
