ACT NOW: Protect your right to freely and openly communicate with your employees!

Tell your representative to PROTECT Free Speech and OPPOSE Captive Audience!

Big labor is trying to take away your right to freely and openly communicate with your employees. Tell your State Representative TODAY to oppose House Bill No. 5506, the Captive Audience Bill. Please contact your State Representative URGENTLY because the Senate already passed this egregious bill.

BACKGROUND

Following the Senate, now the Rhode Island House is trying to pass HB 5506, the Captive Audience Bill, which will limit your ability to talk to your workers about the impact of unionization on your business. The House falsely claims that the bill protects workers’ free speech. However, the legislation actually limits your free speech as an employer. This proposal conflicts with your First Amendment rights as well as the NLRA precedent regarding employer free speech rights.

Contact your State Representative, urging them to protect your First Amendment rights by opposing this legislation.

WHAT’S YOUR STORY?

Tell your representative what they need to hear about how the Captive Audience Bill will harm your business. Share your story.

Your story is the example your business serves of the impact this issue has on real life. You want them to picture your business before they make any decisions. Lawmakers are more likely to read, respond, and react to custom messages. Please use the available space to write a personalized message to your legislators, sharing your business name, location (city/town), and story.

Thank you for taking action!
