  Teacher Appreciation Week - May 8 - May 12

THANK YOU!!

New Jersey PTA, along with all of our local PTAs, recognizes that teachers/staff members are the ones who inspire and guide our children to become future leaders and open their eyes beyond academics. Teachers also help to instill values, shape character, and empower our children to pursue their dreams and make a positive difference in the world.

From the NJPTA Field Service Team May Reminders and Tips!

May begins the transition period for all New Jersey PTAs! Communication and sharing of
Information between outgoing officers and incoming officers is key to the success of your PTA. See below for some reminders and tips.

Reminder

Membership – Login to MemberHub and check your membership dues status. Pay any outstanding dues by 5/15/23.
Tip: Set up an alarm on your phone to check MemberHub again in June to make your final membership dues payment!

Reminder:

Officer Information – As soon as your new Officers are elected, log in to MemberHub, go to PTA year 23-24, and enter their name, position, and contact info! Even if it is an officer’s second year or term, you must provide the officer's contact information for the new school year.
Tip: On 7/1, log in to MemberHub and update your system Administrators for the 23-24 PTA year!

Reminder:

Financial Review – Begin to prepare your financial records for the 22-23 Financial Review. Select your Financial Review Committee – all members are eligible to serve on this committee except those officers authorized as check signers on the bank account(s).
Tip: Send the Committee to the njpta.org Resources Hub to read and become familiar with
the Financial Review process!

Reminder:

Transition to the 23-24 PTA Year – As soon as your new officers are elected, set up a meeting to discuss the transition of records and knowledge to the 23-24 officer team. Consider team meetings as well as one-on-one officer meetings to accomplish your goal for a smooth leadership transition.
Tip: Review and update your position procedure book so it will be ready to turn over to your successor in July (per the NJPTA Local PTA Uniform Bylaws Article XI Section D. Outgoing Officer Requirement.)

If you need help or support, please contact the NJPTA Office or your Field Service Contact.
