Urger Lawmakers to Pass Final SBIR/STTR Extension
Following a nearly four-month lapse in operations, Sen. Edward Markey (D-Mass.) has ushered through a deal with Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) to re-open the highly-successful Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.

On March 3rd, the Senate unanimously passed legislation, the Small Business Innovation and Economic Security Act (S. 3971), that would extend the programs through Sept. 30, 2031. The legislation now must be passed in the House of Representatives before being sent to the President’s desk.

Please take a few moments TODAY to urge House lawmakers to support the bill's final passage, making sure that high-tech small businesses are not excluded from government-funded R&D work.
