Leading the Way for ALL Children, Families and Communities

On Monday, February 13, NYS PTA will hold its 'Leading the Way' Lobby Day in Albany to support our children, educators and families!

We are excited to share these four advocacy papers, which will be disseminated to the legislature:

Restrict and Ban Marketing of Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems to Children

Support a $2 Billion Investment in Our Children

And Save the Date!

NYS PTA will hold its new Local Lobby Days over the weeks of March 6 and March 13. If you can't make local meetings, you'll still be able to participate in Virtual Lobby weeks as well!

Northport Youth Honored with National Award for Leadership and Outstanding Efforts in Advocating for Children

NYS PTA is honored to announce that Christian Ranieri from Northport, NY has been awarded the National PTA 2017 Outstanding Youth Advocacy Award for his commitment to being a powerful voice for all children. Ranieri was selected to receive the award among applicants from across the country. National PTA will honor Ranieri with the award during the association's 2017 National PTA Legislative Conference, Wednesday, March 8, at the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel in Arlington, VA.

"Mr. Ranieri and students across New York positively impact our schools and communities each day. Mr. Ranieri has been an outstanding advocate for children with special needs and works hard to dispel common myths about autism and students with disabilities," said NYS PTA President Gracemarie Rozea. "We look forward to honoring Christian for his tireless work and dedication at the National PTA Legislative Conference and here in New York."
