Our Student Members Rock!

The November membership focus encourages offering the opportunity for students to become PTA members.

~ Community Service: volunteer your talents to improve our schools

~ Leadership: become a voice for you and your fellow students

~ Scholarship: compete for funds to further your education

Register and pay dues for students representing at least 30% of your total membership by November 30. Please remember to identify these members as "Student" membership type on the portal.

Badge Bonus: All "Students Rock" badge recipients will be entered into a drawing to win one of five $500 student scholarships for the unit. These scholarships may be presented to individual students in any increment: for example: (5) $100 scholarships for high school level students to defer the cost of higher education, or (10) $50 scholarships for middle school level students that participated in the PTA Reflections program; or as a total amount to benefit all students: for example, $500 toward an arts and education or character education program that supports elementary students.

These are just a few ideas to help you understand how this student scholarship money can support your students. Stay tuned for future ideas in upcoming membership mailings. Student members matter - they are the voice of our future!

On the BACK of the ballot on Election Day, you will be asked to vote on whether or not New York State should hold a Constitutional Convention.

The NYS PTA Board of Directors unanimously voted to oppose the Constitutional Convention, and URGES A NO VOTE.
