U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin told the New York Times in an interview that Democratic lawmakers were out of step with voters on immigration and “if you’re here illegally, you have committed a crime and you should go home.”
Yet, Slotkin has not yet supported bipartisan legislation to enact E-Verify.
