Support Health Care Providers and Include HR 6683 in Legislative Package!
As you are well aware, in the recently released Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule for CY2024, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) finalized a cut of -3.4% to physical and occupational therapy providers. These unfair cuts to therapy providers will exacerbate existing challenges and ultimately make it more difficult for patients to access the care they need. CMS chose to finalize these cuts despite warnings and opposition from Medicare stakeholders across the care continuum.

It is critical that Congress stops these Medicare cuts before it is too late.

Fifty-four organizations, including APTA and APTQI, representing physicians and other health care providers across the United States recently sent a letter to Congress urging lawmakers to act immediately.

Representatives Greg Murphy (R-NC), Danny Davis (D-IL), Brad Wenstrup (R-OH), Jimmy Panetta (D-CA), Larry Bucshon (R-IN), and Michael Burgess (R-TX) have introduced the Preserving Seniors’ Access to Physicians Act of 2023 (H.R.6683), which would stop the cuts slated to go into effect on January 1. Email your Representatives today urging them to support H.R.6683 and add it to the upcoming legislative package.

To stop the full -3.4% cut to Medicare services, take action now to tell your legislators to support this bill and STOP THE CUT!
