Action Needed Now! Ask Congress to Include HR 6683 in Legislative Package for Relief from Payment Cuts!
As you are well aware, in the recently released Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule for CY2024, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) finalized a cut of -3.4% to physical and occupational therapy providers. These unfair cuts to therapy providers exacerbate existing challenges and ultimately makes it more difficult for patients to access the care they need. CMS chose to finalize these cuts despite warnings and opposition from Medicare stakeholders across the care continuum.

It is critical for your representative to hear from you NOW on the impact of these cuts to your practice.

Fifty-four organizations, including APTA and APTQI, representing physicians and other health care providers are advocating for Congress to mitigate the fee schedule cut by adding H.R. 6683 to the upcoming legislative package which is being negotiated now.

The Preserving Seniors’ Access to Physicians Act of 2023 (H.R.6683) has bipartisan support. This bill increases payments under the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule for 2024 by 4.62% (current law provides for a 1.25% increase). Email your Representatives today urging them to support H.R.6683 and add it to the upcoming legislative package.

To stop the full -3.4% cut to Medicare services, please email or call your legislators! TAKE ACTION NOW!
