Media Action: We Must Address the Housing Crisis
Families looking for affordable housing are in crisis. Since 1960, renters’ median earnings have gone up 5 percent while rents have risen by 61 percent -- and only 37 affordable and available rental homes exist for every 100 extremely low-income renter households. Meanwhile only one in four eligible low-income households receives federal housing assistance.

We must build momentum to make affordable housing a priority -- and we can use local media coverage to do so!  Use this template to send a letter to the editor today urging your members of Congress to focus on affordable rental housing and homeownership policies that can reduce racial wealth inequality.
