Tell State Leaders New Yorkers Need Affordable, Reliable Energy
In 2019, state lawmakers authorized the Climate Action Council to develop a plan for reaching the state’s climate goals. Recently, that plan was published.

We now know how this unelected council plans to change our state, and the impact their plans would have on our economy.

Their plans include:

  •  Bans on:
    • New gas service to existing buildings
    • Natural gas use in new buildings
    • New natural gas-based appliances (cooking, home heating, water heating, clothes drying)
    • Gasoline-fueled car sales
    • Diesel-fueled trucks
    • Construction of gas-based energy generation plants
  • Carbon pricing, which would tax businesses based on their emission levels
  • Emission caps
  • An Extended Producer Responsibility program, which would force manufacturers to foot the bill for recycling programs

Tell Albany: we need energy that is affordable and reliable!
