The ATF’s “Engaged in the Business” rule radically redefines who must be considered a firearms dealer.

Under the Gun Control Act, only those regularly buying and selling guns as a business are required to obtain a Federal Firearms License (FFL). But Biden’s ATF twisted this into a catch-all trap, declaring that ANYONE who sells even a handful of firearms “with the intent to earn a profit” must get an FFL.

That means ordinary gun owners, hobbyists, and collectors could now be treated as criminals for engaging in private sales. Fail to comply? You face federal felony charges. 

This is nothing less than a backdoor universal gun registration scheme. By forcing nearly all transfers into the federal system, the ATF is building the foundation for an unconstitutional national gun registry.

How We Got Here

This nightmare is the spawn of John Cornyn’s Bipartisan Safer Communities Act -- his dirty deal with Democrat Chris Murphy and Joe Biden -- giving the ATF the perceived authority to enact this rule.

Cornyn handed Biden the keys. Now, AG Pam Bondi is keeping it alive.

So please, call the DOJ at  (202)-353-1555 and tell them to STOP defending Biden's gun registry in court by ENDING the "engaged in the business of firearms rule" -- and start HONORING President Trump's pro-gun agenda.
