Ask Your Federal Senator to Co-Introduce the Advancing Research for Chronic Pain Act!
Chronic pain and high-impact chronic pain place a significant burden on individuals, families, and the U.S. economy—leading to immense suffering, lost productivity, and rising health care and disability costs.

Yet, unlike other major health conditions, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) does not consistently analyze or publish comprehensive population-level data on chronic pain. This gap limits our ability to fully understand the scope of the crisis, and to respond effectively.

This needs to change.

High-quality data is essential to identify trends, risks, and the impact of pain—and to inform interventions that improve care, enhance patient outcomes, and reduce health care costs.

The Advancing Research for Chronic Pain Act is one of only a handful of bills ever introduced in Congress specifically for people living with pain. This legislation would support the creation of a public, regularly updated resource to share comprehensive population health data on chronic pain and related conditions.

We urge you to take action today by emailing, calling, or tweeting your U.S. Senator and asking them to: Co-introduce the Advancing Research for Chronic Pain Act.

By speaking up, you are helping ensure that people living with pain are seen, counted, and prioritized.

Thank you for taking action and being part of this critical advocacy effort. Here, you’ll find tools to quickly and easily contact your legislators.
