Earlier this year, Senators Mark Kelly (D-AZ) and Marsha Blackburn (R-MS), along with Representatives Jen Kiggans (R-VA-02), Dave Joyce (R-OH-14), Claudia Tenney (R-NY-24), and Jim Costa (D-CA-21), introduced the Providing Real-World Education and Clinical Experience by Precepting Tomorrow's (PRECEPT) Nurses Act (S.131/H.R.392) to Congress. This bipartisan, bicameral legislation would provide a $2,000 tax credit for nurses who serve at least 200 hours as a clinical preceptor to nursing students, advanced practice nursing students, or newly hired licensed nurses in a Health Professional Shortage Area.
We need your help!
Please email your Members of Congress today asking them to cosponsor and pass the PRECEPT Nurses Act. This is especially timely as the Senate is actively considering their own budget reconciliation bill. We want to make sure Members of Congress know about S.131/H.R.392, sign on in support, and advance it in any moving legislative package this Congress. We appreciate your immediate action as we advocate for this vital legislation.
