Continue Access to Telehealth!
Telehealth services continue to be a valuable resource to maintain and increase access to hospice and palliative care for patients with serious illness. The flexibilities that allow for expanded access to telehealth expire on September 30, 2025. With this deadline looming, Congress needs to act to ensure continued access to telehealth.

There are currently two separate bipartisan bills in the House which address the use of telehealth. The first is the Hospice Recertification Flexibility Act (H.R. 1720), which would extend the ability to use telehealth for the face-to-face visit for the recertification of the Medicare hospice benefit. The second, the Permanent Telehealth from Home Act (H.R. 1407), would permanently eliminate the geographic limitations and originating site requirements.

There are no current bills in the Senate that address these issues, but it is still important that your Senators hear from you on this vital matter.

As the deadline approaches, we ask that you reach out to your congressional delegations and ask them to support these bills and ensure the continuation of telehealth flexibilities beyond September 30.

Take action now!
