Urge Your Representative to Support the Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act
Inaction by Congress has led to a 2.83% cut in physician payments, effective January 1, 2025, marking the fifth consecutive year that Medicare physician payment has decreased. The consistent decrease in physician reimbursement is negatively impacting physician practices and making the practice of medicine unsustainable for many. Members are increasingly concerned about remaining financially solvent and are experiencing occupational burnout due to financial concerns. The American Medical Association estimates that over the past two decades, Medicare payment rates have fallen by 33%, when adjusted for the cost of running a practice, leaving physicians struggling to figure out how to provide high quality care for elderly and chronically ill patients.

Encourage your reps to co-sponsor and support S. 1640 to provide relief as we work to #RepairMedicare!
