Oppose New York SB 1464- Extended Producer Responsibility Legislation
New York Senate Bill (SB) 1464, sponsored by Senator Peter Harckam (D), would create a costly and restrictive packaging reduction and recycling extended producer responsibility (EPR) program in New York. SB 1464 is currently under consideration by the Assembly.  AHRI supports packaging sustainability, recycling and reuse, we believe this bill imposes excessive costs and burdens on manufacturers. We urge you to contact your New York Assemblymembers to oppose or amend the bill to reduce its impact on manufacturers and consumers.
