Co-Sponsor "Supporting Armenians Against Azerbaijani Aggression Act" - S.2900 & H.R.5683
In response to Azerbaijan's unprovoked assault on Artsakh on September 19, 2023, and continuing in various forms despite the declaration of a ceasefire, Congressional allies have introduced two companion bills, which enact the following:

1. Sanction Azerbaijan and the Aliyev regime;

2. Revoke the Presidential Waiver of Section 907 of the FREEDOM Support Act; and

3. Provide urgent humanitarian assistance to the 120,000 Armenians of Artsakh.

 

Senate Bill:

S.2900 - Supporting Armenians Against Azerbaijani Aggression Act:  Responds to Azerbaijan's unprovoked and devastating attack on Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakah) by sanctioning Azerbaijan, revokes the Presidential Waiver of Section 907 of the FREEDOM Support Act, and provides urgent humanitarian assistance to the 120,000 Armenians of Artsakh.

 

House Bill:

H.R. 5683 - Supporting Armenians Against Azerbaijani Aggression Act: Responds to Azerbaijan's unprovoked and devastating attack on Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakah) by sanctioning Azerbaijan, revokes the Presidential Waiver of Section 907 of the FREEDOM Support Act, and provides urgent humanitarian assistance to the 120,000 Armenians of Artsakh.
