Support the Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act
The Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act (S. 1232 and H.R. 2531) would mandate that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) require covered employers— including hospitals and various inpatient and outpatient care settings— to develop and implement workplace violence prevention plans aimed at reducing incidents before they occur.

Given that health care workers face significantly higher levels of violence compared to other industries, it is both urgent and necessary for Congress to act and ensure that health care clinicians–including nephrology nurses–receive the protections they need and deserve.

Please contact your Members of Congress to encourage them to support this important legislation. Your voice is essential in showing Congress how they can enact common-sense solutions to protect our healthcare workforce. Thank you for your advocacy!
