Congress Must Act: Stop Devastating Cuts to the Physical Therapy Profession
It’s time to make some noise on Capitol Hill against proposed cuts to physical therapy services! The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ proposed 2021 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule includes deep cuts in payment to over 35 health care providers. Physical therapy services are slated for a 9% cut. If this cut becomes reality, it will devastate patient access to care and will shutter countless small businesses. CMS is ignoring the concerns expressed by patients, multiple health care groups, and some members of Congress about these proposed cuts — so it’s time for Congress to intervene.

Here’s where you come in. For the past several months, APTA members and supporters have done a great job in contacting Capitol Hill, but we need to keep the pressure on! The next few weeks is when Congress makes critical decisions that can include fixing the 9% pay cut.

Tell Congress today to act to stop these cuts. Call, tweet, and email your members of Congress and together we will #FightTheCut.
