North Carolina still has no enacted budget: The General Assembly must act now and pass a balanced budget.
North Carolina still does not have an enacted state budget. Meanwhile, recent court rulings require the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) to reverse the October 1, 2025 rate reductions and restore provider rates to their September 30, 2025 levels.

Medicaid is currently underfunded by $319 million, and the program is projected to run out of funding early in 2026 if the legislature does not act.

Take action now:
Please take a few minutes to contact your legislators and urge them to pass a fully balanced state budget that protects Medicaid and ensures stability for providers and the people they serve.
