That is two more days for the Senate and Assembly to pass laws.
It is two more days for the Senate and the Assembly to fix the disaster that is PPL.
If our Senators and Assemblymembers leave Albany until January without taking action to fix this total disaster, we have lost.
S.1189/A.2735 would cancel the single-FI contract and provide for common sense reforms that allow trusted, vetted fiscal intermediaries (FIs) to serve the consumers who know and count on them. It's still possible to pass it, but there are very powerful voices trying to suppress any attempts to save CDPA. We need to be louder.
We need you to make two phone calls every day: one to your Senator, one to your Assemblymember. Tell them that you're not only following the fight to CDPA, you're living it. Remind them that people are watching. Explain why this matters to you. They need to speak up and tell their leaders that consumers are losing services and their workers aren't being paid. Waiting around for PPL to get their act together isn't a solution.
There are four days left to save CDPA. We'll continue to fight in Albany until they leave. Please pick up the phone each day and tell your representatives to pass S.1189/A.2735.
