Reintroduce the Federal Bird-Safe Buildings Act to Reduce Collisions!
Collisions with glass windows, walls, and other structures kill up to a billion birds a year in the U.S. alone — making it one of the greatest human-caused threats to birds.

The Bird-Safe Buildings Act would reduce these deaths by directing General Services Administration officials to incorporate bird-friendly design and materials into the construction of new federal buildings. Specifically, the GSA must incorporate relevant features and strategies into public buildings that are newly constructed, acquired, or substantially altered so as to reduce bird fatalities. The GSA must also develop a related design guide and annually certify its active use.
