It is essential that EQIP and the other USDA conservation programs fund practices that reduce emissions and sequester carbon. EQIP=Environmental Quality Incentives Programs and provides funds to farmers for conservation practices. Unfortunately, some of the practices it has been funding are not sustainable or climate friendly and it has been very difficult for smaller farmers to access the funds.
