In 2018, climate scientists were clear that greenhouse gas emissions must be cut in half by 2030 to avoid the worst of the climate crisis.  6 years later and with less than 6 years to go, we have actually achieved very little reduction, despite some promising legislation.  Each year the amount we have to reduce has grown while the time to achieve the reduction has shrunk.

At this point, electing leaders who will take the action we need is absolutely vital, but so is making sure that those who currently serve know that the emissions curve must be greatly bent downward even on their watch.
