As the world's largest producer of oil and gas and greatest contributor to climate change since 1850, the US can't afford not to lead in the solutions!
According to a recent Rocky Mountain Institute Report, at the moment China and Europe are leading the US in Cleantech measures such as the share of final energy from electricity (electrification) and the share of generation from solar and wind.
"China dominates production across clean tech markets today but there is ample opportunity for Europe and United States to catch up. To get back into the game, the United States and Europe will need to pick up the pace of investment .... and speed up deployment timelines."
We need to step up our efforts and put more muscle into the solutions for climate change. Our future hinges on it.
