Recently, Trump allegedly made an offer to oil executives to get rid of all environmental regulations on his first day in office in exchange for a billion dollars in campaign contributions. This is a move that many in the press have described as a quid pro quo.
Democrats on the U.S. House of Representatives Oversight Committee have responded. The committee has sent letters to 9 oil executives asking for details about their companies' participation in the meeting.
