Tell your Members of Congress to enhance forest conservation efforts
With our recent record-breaking year of heat all over the world and its continuation so far this summer in western North America, our wildfire season is well underway and well on its way toward setting records of its own.

Until we reduce the CO2 in the atmosphere, not just reduce the amount we put up each year, this will continue to be the case and our already beleaguered forests will continue to suffer.

Our forests are critical for removing and sequestering carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.  At this point, we need all the forests we can get.  We need to plant more trees, restore existing forests, and protect our forests from all forms of destruction.

Congress still has several options for enhancing forest conservation efforts in this session and forest conservation need not be a partisan issue. Let's encourage elected leaders to take action.
