Share the House Appropriations Committee fact sheet with your federal representatives
Following the Department of Energy’s decision to cancel $7.6 billion in funding for energy projects, the House Appropriations Committee released a fact sheet detailing the grant terminations and how congressional districts will be impacted.

According to that document, 20% of the districts affected by the cancellations have GOP leadership. That’s because some projects stretch into red districts, while others are affiliated with a blue state but located in another. A prime example is the transmission study funding for Minnesota, which actually supports the build-out of five high-voltage transmission lines across six other states: Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
