Tell your federal representatives to oppose the ESA Amendments Act of 2025
The ESA Amendments Act of 2025 would severely weaken the Endangered Species Act and eliminate some of its key provisions. A prime example is the scientific consultation process, through which federal agencies ensure that their actions aren’t impacting endangered species or their habitats.

H.R.1897 would also slow the process of listing species under the Endangered Species Act and fast-track the delisting of others. This all but guarantees that some species will be delayed in getting the protections they need, while others will erroneously lose theirs.
