The gubernatorial candidates in New Jersey and Virginia, as well as the Democrats who flipped seats on the Georgia Public Service Commission, made energy affordability central to their campaigns and proposed decisive action to reduce electricity rates. Virginia Governor-Elect Spanberger and New Jersey Governor-Elect Sherrill won their races by more than 10 percentage points, and Commissioner-Elects Johnson and Hubbard earned 63% of the vote in Georgia.
