Tell your federal representatives to support the Saving the Department of the Interior's Workforce Act
In late October 2025, the Department of the Interior announced a massive reduction-in-force plan, which proposes cutting more than 2,000 jobs from the department’s agencies and bureaus. On the chopping block are nearly 500 jobs at the Bureau of Land Management, more than 300 positions at the U.S. Geological Survey, and close to 300 at the National Parks Service, which has already lost a quarter of its staff since January. This bill would place a moratorium on reductions in force at the DOI.
