Wildfires are becoming more severe and frequent due to climate change, putting lives, infrastructure, forests, and critical watersheds at risk. The Western Wildfire Support Act would strengthen federal support for prevention, response, and recovery, providing funding for post-fire rehabilitation projects, supporting the deployment of modern detection technologies, and improving coordination among federal, state, tribal, and local agencies.
