Currently, the NewSTART Nuclear Arms Control Treaty between the U.S. and Russia limits the amount of warheads mounted to launchers in each country, and has done so for decades. This not only helps prevent accidental launch, but has helped both countries stay in dialogue with one another.

Unfortunately, it is set to expire in February 2026, which has prompted Rep. Foster and Sen. Markey to introduce a resolution in support of renewed arms control talks. Let's urge our federal representatives to support it!
