Urge your federal representatives to investigate EPA's loosening of PFAS reporting requirements
There are thousands of PFAS chemicals, and they are used widely in industrial and consumer products, including nonstick, stain-resistant, and waterproof goods. But they take hundreds or even thousands of years to break down, and over time, have leeched into our air, food, water, and soil. They have also been linked to a number of severe health impacts.

Unfortunately, EPA's new proposal completely ignores these facts. If PFAS is used as a minor ingredient in an item or mixture—or created for research and development purposes—companies would be exempt from reporting on it. It's a proposal that saves businesses money, but risks endangering the health and wellbeing of the American people.
