S.3923 is jam-packed with powerful provisions that will bolster weather research and forecasting in America, helping to ensure that we are as prepared as possible for extreme weather events. Additionally, thanks to a recent amendment, it will prevent the National Science Foundation from transferring assets away from the National Center for Atmospheric Research—at least until the impacts of doing so have been fully assessed.
