Introduced in the House by Reps. Fitzpatrick and Lawler, The American Energy Dominance Act would restore the original phase-out timelines for the Energy Efficient Commercial Buildings Deduction (179D), New Energy Efficient Home Credit (45L), Clean Hydrogen Production Credit (45V), and Clean Electricity Production and Investment Tax Credits (45Y and 48E).

While they may seem modest, these changes have the potential to make a big difference. Developers would be able to proceed with more certainty, investment in American energy infrastructure would increase, and projects that support a number of critical outcomes, from job creation and economic growth to energy security and reduced electricity costs, would continue.
