Tell your federal representatives: the God Squad doesn't need more authority
The Endangered Species Committee, or God Squad, has the authority to issue exemptions for projects with clear economic benefits—but they have only done so three times in their nearly 50-year history. Typically, their exemptions have followed a long process, which involves the submission of several documents, issuing a public notice in the Federal Register, and an opportunity for public comment.

That's not what they did this time.

With the ESC rumored to start meeting quarterly and the recent push to expand their authority through the ESA Amendments Act, there is a very real possibility that they will continue to grant devastating exemptions without following proper procedure. Let's tell our federal representatives that they don't need any more authority!
