We've seen time and time again how solar power can support farmers and rural communities. These systems help reduce electricity costs, keeping farm energy bills low, and can help farmers generate additional income when they sell energy back to the grid. Agrivoltaics in particular allow farmers to simultaneously generate energy and pursue agricultural land uses, from raising livestock to growing specialty crops.

Unfortunately, the House version of the farm bill locks most farmers out of using federal funding for solar projects. Let's urge our senators to put together a more solar-friendly farm bill!
