Stop the Cuts: Tell Congress to Defend HCBS for New Yorkers with I/DD

What We Need:

Tell Congress to protect Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) for New Yorkers with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Urge your representatives to reject further cuts or harmful changes to Medicaid!

What's at Stake:

Medicaid isn't just a safety net. It’s the foundation of independent living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Following severe federal funding cuts passed last year, critical Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) remain under constant threat.

Now, congressional leaders are weighing new proposals that could strip away funding or weaken structure—putting community-based care at serious risk.

For the people we support, our dedicated direct support workforce, and families across New York, these services mean stability, dignity, and real community inclusion. We cannot let federal lawmakers rollback progress.

Contact your members of Congress today and demand they safeguard Medicaid.
