The legislature has a series of critical votes this week as a deadline approaches.
We need your Help!
The restaurant community, non-profits, and other employer groups worked to achieve the biggest legal reform in decades in California by significantly reforming the state’s Private Attorney Generals Act (PAGA). SB 310 (Wiener) will likely generate a flurry of frivolous lawsuits, a stunning about-face from the 2024 laws designed to curb litigation abuse. It would create a new pathway for trial attorneys to exploit penalties as leverage in meritless cases.
SB 310 will face a vote by the end of this week on the Senate Floor.
