We're reaching out to request your help to ensure restaurants, bars, and other ABC licensees are not subject to unexpected withdrawals from alcoholic beverage distributors.

AB 2375 represents a common-sense solution that has been agreed to by both the CRA and alcoholic beverage distributors, which clarifies existing law to ensure that distributors do not automatically withdraw funds from licensees.

AB 2375 solves this problem by clarifying that “initiate” means presenting an invoice to the licensee, as opposed to “initiating the withdrawal of funds”. 

AB 2375 will help ensure that alcoholic beverage suppliers’ invoices continue to be fulfilled on time, all the while ensuring restaurants and other brick-and-mortar businesses have the flexibility to pay in a manner- and on a timeline- that suits the realities of running a brick-and-mortar business.
