The CRA
Tell the Senate - Help Stop $78 Billion in Fees!
Dear Restaurant Friends,

We are reaching out once more on SB 54 – The Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Act, which will impose catastrophic costs on many sectors of the California economy. We thank everyone for their engagement in this issue, and we would also like to offer a special thanks to those who responded to our previous calls to action on SB 54.

However, this call to action is specifically directed towards the California State Senate, as they are one of the missing pieces needed for a pause to happen – and we’re pushing hard, but just like we outlined in the last SB 54 communication we sent, we need ALL OF YOU to put pressure on them as well.

As a refresher, we do not object to the concept of an EPR program – but we do object to this specific one, as do most industries, some environmental groups, and segments of the organized labor community.

Given the $78 billion price tag that the business community will have to face, and the failure of SB 54 to meet its own recycling targets, we need you to reach out to your state senator and tell them a pause is needed.

Please – use the link and take one minute to send a pre-written letter to your state senators telling them – PAUSE SB 54.

Thank you,

CRA Government Affairs
