About the PA Interagency Council to Prevent and End Homelessness
The lack of coordination across critical state and local agencies remains one of the most significant barriers to ending homelessness in the state. To address this, we are calling on the Shapiro Administration to establish a Pennsylvania Interagency Council to Prevent and End Homelessness. This Council would enhance collaboration among agencies to execute a statewide plan to end homelessness.
Why Your Support Matters
The recent Annual Homelessness Assessment Report estimates that over 12,500 individuals are experiencing homelessness in Pennsylvania. However, homelessness in Pennsylvania is solvable! With better coordination of resources and funding through an Interagency Council, as well as an aligned statewide plan to address housing needs, Pennsylvania could be the first state to effectively end homelessness.
